This video is VERY important to me for a plethora of reasons. First, it's one of the fundamentals on which I build my thinking, second, it demonstrates that in order to be an "effective" human you MUST stop confining your mind to simple ideologies. By no means am I better, bigger or more superior than ANYONE however I DO observe people "stuck" in this 2D type of world/thinking. And it demonstrates how people think they are masterful in their little box but in effect are not anywhere close to observing untraditional methodologies and environments.
2D thinking to me represents the mental rut we continue to travel in.

You, Mr. Snowden, are Ha-larious!!! You epitomize the very essence of what you fight to avoid. With a foot in the 'safe' 2D world and one in the 3D world you seek / love. To truly lead and be effective it can't be both!
ReplyDeleteUm, I don't have a foot in both worlds. Honestly, I don't even understand your comment. So please elaborate how one of my feet is "safe" within the 2D world...
ReplyDeletePerhaps the other video will hold more weight....
ReplyDeleteThe observer.
Thanks D. This just reinforces a saying that I use as motivation. "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only option." Fear can hold us back from so many things. The moment you chose to open your mind and live life in a new way, is the moment you truly start to live. Until then, you are just going through the motions and wasting the potential you have.
ReplyDelete@Satchmania- Great quote and summary. So simple, yet really puts things in perspective.
ReplyDeleteI know that myself and quite a friends of mine who are in there late 20's, early 30's are in that transition or at least trying to transition from a 2D world or thinking to the 3D. I believe we have been calling that "the next level." It is extremely comfortable and safe to live in a 2D world, but it comes a time when you realize that you missed out on living a full life and that life has passed you by . This is especially true when you go through challenges or transitions in life. For myself personally, I am newly single, involved in a variety of leadership opportunities, 10 year class reunion crept up on me , and I will be 30 in less than 2 years, so a major alarm went off in my mind and I realized I have been living in that 2D world. Now the struggle is getting out of this mindset and living life outside the box...
ReplyDelete@ nti, Well I am glad your awareness has peeked. Newly single means making you more dynamic and open for change. Just keep in mind time is not linear and its relative to the observer. Don't get too caught in when things should be done but rather how to get them done.
ReplyDeleteAs long as your alive, it's never too late!
@Dimitri
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder because the type A side of me wants to take over ... lol. I am slowly but surely stepping out, taking chances, and enjoying the journey. :-)
