Confusion of a degree considered usually refers to loss of orientation (ability to place oneself correctly in the world by time, location, and personal identity), and often memory (ability to correctly recall previous events or learn new material).
Confusion as such is NOT synonymous with inability to focus attention, although severe inability to focus attention can cause, or greatly contribute to, confusion. Together, confusion and inability to focus attention (both of which affect judgment) are the twin symptoms of a loss or lack of normal brain function.
I have tried to explore non-thermodynamic concepts of entropy and self-organization but its difficult because its dependent on collective intelligence. Meaning its actually the lack or hindrance of shared information that leads to the decentralization of said information.
In other words, self-organization is learned by some frame of example or the accumulation of such. you cannot just wake up one day and say, "this is how I want to organize myself" without having some attribute you borrowed from a organized system.
I say all of the above to say that if you are my outside looking in, you might say, "he is confused and not focused", or perhaps if you ran close to me you'll distance yourself, or maybe you'll resend some of your energy in our relationship to concurrently initiate my alternative - well fine jump off the boat.
If you were true to me, this would be the time I would say lets collectively weave our energy into the new refound frame work of this ship and build it better than ever.As captain of my ship it is embedded in my soul to go down with my ship, to see whatever in its finality, whether it succeeds or fails. Those who jump off do nothing but make it easier for my boat to be salvaged. I'll run this with a skeleton crew, reorganize, rebuild, and be swift and thorough in my next round...
