Great quote, and beginning to a new year! Interesting those who never get it. Those who don't have the foresight to walk away from those who hold them back, who are aligned for all the wrong, self-serving reasons, and therefore, will never be the success they have the potential to be. It takes a strong individual with the focus and commitment to continually look forward and back, and remain focused on the path.
I couldn't agree with this quote more. For me, this realization seems to have just set in fairly recently, but I'm glad it did - far better now than to have to wander aimlessly through relationships / friendships that were only holding me back.
Very true, things only hold us "back" if we allow them to. In addition this quote expresses that if we look at things, people, and relationships for their purpose instead of lineage of "time" invested then makes moves toward or away from said subjects would be less complex and easier to do.
"People are in your life for a season, a reason, or al lifetime, " always seems to fit this genre as well.
