I Need my Wants...

Isn't it funny how we need what we want and dont want what we need? Isn't it funny how a bar of gold costs more than air for your tire? One could argue that values of "resources" are based on the availability of the resource. This is partly true but VERY counter intuitive when it comes to the human existence. After all gold is not a vital resource to anything.

Though I could write this "mightier than thou" post about how we are all wrong, I too, find a logical difficulty in rationalizing this conundrum. You could say, I need a car to get to work but not a lambo and feel good because you are a minimalist and only "take what you need" however, in absolute reality you don't even "need" your minimalist car OR to even work to pay for the car! You "want" to go to work so you can live at X standard and take care of X objectives in the way you "want".

So it seems the entire human existence is based on "want" which is then calcified into a baseline need then is primed subjective based on the observers perspective.

Think about it, we don't need anything at all - ask the monks. The needn't a car, or job, or clothes, or sex, or sports or even books. They simply live and use chi to propel the human experience.
