Precious Encouragements

“I will use big words from time to time, the meanings of which I may only vaguely perceive, in hopes such cupidity will send you scampering to your dictionary: I will call such behavior ‘public service’.” —Harland Ellison

This has been your Precious Encouragement of the Week. Throwing a whole bunch of words at you as a public service. The big words we might not quite know the meaning of is an added bonus.

  1. Hmmmmm! Interesting fodder. Can we do a search for future public service messages to offer challenge, thought with purpose and avidity for action -- Priceless Encouragement it would become if but one acted!

  2. Not sure I follow...the public service is simply speaking to people and/or leaving a message in higher vocabulary leaving the meaning of words up to the reader to discern.

  3. My point exactly. The challenge lies in coupling that perspective with subtlety in message with purpose.

  4. "Subtly"? Thats all relative to the observer. The goal is to inact action by superseding ones noted understanding of new vocabulary...no challenge in that. At least not for me anyway...lol
