I wonder what the logic is behind the style of counting. Accuracy, stylistics? Pakistan and Turkey, they really want to make sure there is no mistake!!!
The logic is:Money is all different sizes, it can be flipped easier pending its size.Per the language, the money is read as they read, in some cases right to left, or bottom up - the flipping would align with the reading orientation.In some countries using left over right or right over left hand has prestigious and religious value.
Of course, why didn't I think of that!!! I have Reais in my wallet, I should have thunk lol!!! ;-)
